The Other
This mosaic was created in response to the practice of caging human beings (immigrants) and "othering" them. An alternate title is "Caged". With both titles, I wanted the viewer to make eye contact with the subject and to eventually begin to wonder which of them is "the other" and which of them is caged. 12"x9"
Original artwork care and handling
Each mosaic is finished with archival varnish. As with any work of fine art, care should be taken to ensure longevity. This includes placement out of direct sunlight, away from humidity and protection from hard knocks. In the event that artwork is damaged, please contact the artist to explore the possibility of restoration work.
