Clamming with Gramma

My mom liked to live off the land as much as possible. In addition to growing, canning, and freezing vegetables and fruit, she also raised chickens and beef, gathered eggs and milked cows. When clams were in season, she could be found with a bucket and shovel.  In this picture she is allowing my son to try his hand at it.
